ISSP was founded by Mark Alsalih, an Iraqi American businessman and international advisor to several U.S and Middle Eastern companies. Mr. Alsalih has over twenty-five years of experience in international business development, including tenures at two multi-billion dollar U.S. corporations, where he oversaw operations and sales in the Middle East. Over the course of his career, Mr. Alsalih has established an established network of influential political and business leaders throughout Iraq and the broader Middle East. ISSP was created to bring these leaders together in a constructive and impactful way.
Securing a better future for all Iraqis requires first driving all forms of religious and political extremism from the country. ISIS and other terrorist organizations cannot and will not have a role in Iraqi society and they must be forcefully removed from our country. As an organization, ISSP seeks to align its efforts with those of the United States and other world democracies to better facilitate information flow from the region to allied governments around the globe. On the ground, ISSP leadership has the ability and experience to lead nationalistic forces against ISIS positions anywhere in Iraq.
ISSP will work with the U.S. government and the European Union to help Iraq overcome its current challenges; primarily the proliferation of extremist organizations and pervasive meddling from Iran. ISSP will promote the creation of a Democratic government, inclusive of all Iraqis. As an organization, we are opposed to all forms of sectarianism, corruption, and abuse of power.
